Workouts are all about getting exercise.
It’s all about sweating out that pizza you ate last night or those bottles of
beer you had last Sunday. Workouts are all about getting in shape so you can
lead a healthier life.
People jump into this regimen because they
want to or they see other people do it. They do the stuff that needs to be done
but sometimes, the forget one of the more important things – clothing.
The clothes you wear is as important as the
number of reps or the amount of time you spend doing this or that exercise.
It’s what gives you the ability to do what you’re doing comfortably and without
any hindrance or pain (except those experienced by your muscles).
Comfort – Whether you’re into heavy weights or those machines or doing the
dancercise thing you want to wear clothes that are comfortable. This means
comfort in two levels – comfort in wearing them and comfort in movement.
When it comes to comfort in wearing you
want workout clothes that is nice to wear. Don’t wear clothes that you won’t
wear on a daily basis. You will be exercising in them so you want clothes that
you would want to wear even if you’re not exercising.
Fabric – You want clothes that let you breathe. Or rather lets your skin
breathe. You’re going to be sweating a lot so you want workout clothes that
will pull the sweat away from your body so you keep cool while in a heater
routine.
Movement – You also want to be able to move well. Tight fitting clothes may
be cool but it can also make it hard for you to get that full range of motion.
You will be moving your body all over the place so you want clothes that will
let you do that.
Size – Don’t get extra loose clothing. Yes, it is comfortable and it
also allows you freedom of movement. However, it can also get in your way and
that can be dangerous if you are using the exercise machines for your workout.
When deciding on the clothes there are
other factors to consider as well other than the ones mentioned above. One of
them has to do with the type of workout you will be doing.
For example if you will be doing something like Tae-Bo you want light clothing that
will allow you to move fast and sharp and not get in your way. If you are
focusing on weights then keep in nice and short; short as in short sleeves and
shorts. This allows you to do what needs to be done without extra stuff that
can get in the way and endanger you.
